Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for sautéing)
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 large green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pound ribeye steak, thinly sliced or shaved
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the Sliders:

  • 1 package (12-count) sweet bread rolls (e.g., Hawaiian rolls)
  • 6 slices provolone cheese (or cheese of your choice)

For the Butter Topping:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (not ground)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to get it ready for baking.

Step 2: Prepare the Steak Filling

  1. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onion and bell pepper, cooking for 5–7 minutes until softened.
  3. Push the veggies to one side of the skillet and add the thinly sliced ribeye steak.
  4. Cook the steak for 3–4 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula to avoid clumping.
  5. Stir in 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Mix everything together and remove the skillet from heat.

Step 3: Prepare the Slider Buns

  1. Carefully slice the sweet bread rolls horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves intact.
  2. Place the bottom half of the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 4: Assemble the Sliders

  1. Spread the cooked steak mixture evenly over the bottom buns.
  2. Layer 6 slices of provolone cheese on top of the steak mixture, ensuring even coverage.
  3. Place the top half of the buns back on.

Step 5: Add the Butter Topping

  1. In a small bowl, mix together 3 tablespoons melted butter, 1 teaspoon dried thyme, and 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Generously brush the butter mixture over the top of the buns.

Step 6: Bake the Sliders

  • Place the sliders in the preheated oven and bake for 17–20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese has melted.

Step 7: Serve and Enjoy

  • Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, and cut the sliders apart.
  • Serve warm and enjoy your delicious Philly cheesesteak sliders with your favorite side dishes!
