Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to make flavorful lemon pepper chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for extra depth)
- Fresh parsley or thyme (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven or Grill
- If baking, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish lightly with olive oil.
- If grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
- Prepare the Chicken
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- In a small bowl, mix the lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder (if using), and smoked paprika.
- Rub the seasoning mix evenly over both sides of each chicken breast.
- Cook the Chicken
- For Baking: Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- For Grilling: Place the chicken on the preheated grill and cook for 6–7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked through. Baste occasionally with olive oil and lemon juice for added moisture.
